This internship is for summer 2021 and is designed for a commitment of 40 hours per week for the duration of the 12-week program.

Role Summary

Key Duties

  • Support the Flight Operations Engineering and Fleet Technology department in various capacities, ranging from flight planning, sustainability support, weight and balance, and takeoff and landing, flight deck technology and emerging technology

  • May aid in developing reports and create data visualizations

  • May support code testing and validation of operational data or new flight deck technology

Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills


  • Must be enrolled in an engineering degree program

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software suite

  • Organized, extremely attentive to detail and highly safety conscious

  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment

  • Ability to adapt and learn new technology

  • Internship positions are open to current undergraduate students in their junior year who are enrolled in a full-time course of study graduating between December ’21 and June ‘22

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum age of 18.

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.


  • Working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering or other engineering discipline

  • Proficiency in VBA, FORTRAN, Javascript, C#, CSS, HTML or SQL a plus

  • FAA Private Pilot certificate, Dispatcher certificate or basic familiarity with flight operations

  • Basic understanding of aeronautical engineering principles, aerodynamics, flight mechanics of multi-engine commercial jet aircraft, flight planning, satellite technology, consumer technology (Apple products)

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills

Starting Rate

USD $17.00/Hr.
