This internship is for summer 2021 and is designed for a commitment of 40 hours per week for the duration of the 12-week program.

Help Alaska Airlines’ e-commerce team see the world from our customers’ perspective through understanding their behavioral pattens at scale and collecting survey feedback.
Assist in foundational and discovery product development work to understand our customers and their needs related to Alaskaair.com, our mobile apps and kiosks
Work on projects leveraging web analytics and surveying methodologies to provide insights to drive product decisions
Collaborate with UX researchers, designers, product managers and others in the e-commerce division
Role/Location Specific Requirements
This internship position is open to both undergraduate juniors and graduate students who are enrolled in a full-time course of study graduating between December ‘21 and June ‘22
Experience with web analytics using Adobe Analytics or comparable tool
Experience creating surveys about customer behaviors using Qualtrics, Survey Monkey or comparable tool
Experience running statistical analyses via SPSS, Alteryx or comparable tool
Experience using R or Python
Strong understanding and comfort using SQL
Experience using data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, etc.
Empathy for users and teams throughout the product development cycle
Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Be a self-starter, motivated and hard worker
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum age of 18.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Understanding of design thinking and user-centered design process
Taken courses in user research and/or interaction design
Experience with web and mobile design
Experience with data extraction (e.g. Tealium)
