Role Summary

The Loyalty Growth Marketing Manager is a subject matter expert in loyalty marketing at Alaska Airlines. As an individual contributor, this role exercises considerable judgment to make decisions in the design and implementation of lifecycle marketing strategies to increase adoption of Alaska Airlines products and services and drive profitable loyalty behaviors, including Mileage Plan and Credit Card sign-ups.

Key Duties

  • Acts as a subject matter expert in loyalty marketing. Working across the brand marketing, revenue product strategy, loyalty and employee channel teams, this individual helps translate goals into action plans to achieve loyalty acquisition targets. 

  • With minimal direction from leadership, exercises considerable judgement to plan and manage all employee channel initiatives, including the strategic allocation of Visa and MasterCard co-op funds to maximize impact and return on investment.

  • Manages the product marketing of the loyalty program features and benefits in partnership with the loyalty product team to achieve industry-leading brand perceptions of Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan. 

  • Partners with leadership to develop and execute initiatives for all channels, including promotions, contests to maximize new U.S. and Canadian consumers, small business credit card acquisitions and Mileage Plan enrollments.

  • Collaborates with Bank of America, TD Bank-Canada, Visa, MasterCard, the brand team, and various employee workgroup management teams to ensure account goals are reached without compromising brand or customer experience.

  • Develops and approves all customer-facing marketing ads, promotional displays, credit card applications, and other marketing collateral.

  • Works closely with the brand team and corporate communications to develop all internal employee channel training programs, presentations, videos, and educational tools, including the new employee informational website and mobile app for Inflight mobile devices.

Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills

Required

  • 4 years of experience in marketing or related area, with a preference in loyalty marketing, partner management, or sales.

  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in business administration, marketing, sales or a related discipline, or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.

  • Ability to leverage strategic and creative thinking to collaborate, communicate vision, and gain support from multiple internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to prioritize various projects, resources, and initiatives while balancing stakeholder interests.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.

  • Able and willing to travel up to 25% of the time to support business needs.

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.

  • Minimum age of 18.

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred

  • 2 years of project management experience.
